Circle Skirt

This is my version of circle skirt. If you would google circle skirt you will find a billion free tutorials of how to make this very simple skirt. I do not know who was the first person to come up with this but its for sure a genius.
   So here you go:

1. Measure this waist of the person you are making the skirt for. ( doesn't matter if its a kid or an adult)

2. Add 2 inches to that measurement.

3. Divide that number by 6.28

example... my daughters waist is 22 in + 2in= 24 ÷ 6.28= 3.82 in

4. Now grab your fabric and fold it in 4
5. Measure your result (mine was 3.80) and measuring ✎ from the the corner where all folds unite of your fabric out and mark in several point going around from that corner.↓
6. Measure from the waist of the person to the length you want the skirt to be.
7. Add an inch to that for seem allowance. ✁✂✃Cut both 1/4 circles ✄
8. Fold 1/4 inch from the bottom and iron, after you iron around the entire bottom fold again 1/4 in and iron again. Put some pins to make sure you keep your seem folded.

9. Do the same on the top seem.

10. Sew your seems . Your skirt should look like the picture above about now.(If you wanted to skip a step you can instead of making a bottom seem, i bet it a bias tape would be lovely)

11. I cut a piece of elastic the waist measurement, then stitch both ends together.

12. Open both ends apart and sew on each end looking like this ↑.
13. Pin your elastic waist band to the top of the skirt. (just a few pins to keep it in place. Once in a while you'll have to stretch your waist band while sewing to make the waist band fit the skirt. (the waist band is a bit smaller than the skirt's top)

And this wonderful skirt should be your result  ♡. ( my daughter was playing outside and i made her come inside so she can model for me:-)  in other words that's why her shirt don't match at all the skirt lol )
