Wal-Mart finds :-)

We were randomly walking around Wal-Mart and came across these shoes for just $3. We just had to get them. The plan was for my C to wear them to Tae Kwon Do. But she wanted nothing to do with them.

Two or three stitches later wuala!!!! She loves them. She sat by me telling me which colors and what she wanted me to stitch for her.

I hope you guys enjoy the findings as much as we did

Shirring , My First Time !!!

This is my first time shirring and to be honest i was extremely afraid to even try. What i learned today it is a lot more simple than thought. I got some tips for my brother machine Here. And bought some patterns from MADE which in her patterns she also gives great tips and gives many varieties on the product. I made one of the most simple ones because it was my first time.
Overall when it comes to shirring put your elastic thread in your bobbin, regular thread on the top, and sew your straight lines maintaining your fabric straight and flat, it will do the shirring on its own. When done with the sewing part wet your shirring area and iron HOT, it will make your shirring get even closer more wrinkled look. and what ever your making use about double the amount of fabric you would normally use because of how much its going to shrink. Example my daughter is 19 inches around her chest so i used 37 inches of fabric to make this dress 36 would've worked just fine :-) Happy Shirring everyone :-D
